Destiny Angel (Captain Scarlet) by Small-Brown-Dog Destiny Angel (Captain Scarlet) by Small-Brown-Dog
Destiny posing by her new bird in the cloud base hanger. (She was always the hot one)
Used this lovely lady phelandavion.deviantart.com/ar… but only the flight suite on which I stuck the head from another gorgeous girl I found here on DA but there was controversy over the source. I tried to trace but came up with just loads of Pinterest results - if she is yours then I hope its ok that I used her so to speak ! I don't do this for profit or gain.
Hair from here www.deviantart.com/art/Hair-St… really useful and well done.
3D Fighter: Angel Interceptor I modeled in Modo about a year ago with panel lines and odd details added in Photoshop
Background from my own archive.

I've always liked seeing those publicity photo of Rhapsody Angel wearing Captain Scarlet's cap. Makes one wonder if they both got something going on between the two of them. It's like you see the woman you had a one night stand with, wearing your own shirt as she comes down to the kitchen for coffee, if you know what I mean?  :-)

Memories of being glued to the TV to watch Captain Scarlet or did you perhaps know a gorgeous blonde with her own jet fighter ;)

Mainly the TV but at the top of my road there was the nearest thing I could then imagine to a female fighter pilot - a tall blonde 20 year old with a 500cc Honda. Girls on big bikes were very rare, and her long hair stuck out form under her helmet. Oh lordie childhood memories are good ;)

I just discovered your image somewhat by accident. Thanks very much -- I'm a big Gerry Anderson fan and the Angels from Captain Scarlet were some of his best creations.

Beautiful! Great render of a great TV sci-fi series.
I Love all of Gerry Anderson's sci-fi creations. He had many talented people and designers creating things that filled millions of people with wonder and awe.

Me too. I was born in 1963 and grew up with The Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, UFO and Space 1999. I think we were lucky to be exposed to such creativity and design excellence and an exciting vision of future technology.

Lucky you - I was launched in 1958 :)
I can just remember Super car and Fireball XL5 in black and white.
I agree with what you say they and the fact we had exposure to more musical creativity as well although as long as you don't go near the commercial stuff there is still good stuff to find if you dig.

It's wonderful to reminisce about the great sci-fi TV shows. I watched re-runs of Super Car. I also remember Stingray. I just loved the design of the submarine. Also the design of the Sea View from Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea. I remember watching Lost In Space. I love the Jupiter 2 design. But I was always frustrated by it always being stuck on the ground for episode after episode..
Ahh memories..
I totally agree with you about the music of that period. It was a magical period of creativity.
I also agree with you that there is still amazing music being created, but mostly you have to look for it on YouTube. You won't fling much on commercial mainstream media channels.
My mantra is Thank God for YouTube. And DeviantArt.

I'd agree with that  :)

I have to admit that as a kid I always had a thing for Daleks. I had two annuals from 1964 and the other from 1965 that has some really good art work in places - dunno where they went but I have seen some on Ebay at crazy prices.

Yeah cybermen have that certain something like the Daleks when it comes to scariness.
In all honesty as a "grown up?" Daleks are a bit on the silly side when you think about them but when they come on screen they have this sort of ominous presence and then they speak .........

However, it does no harm to let the inner child out to play every now and again.

I have some plans somewhere by the way if you want them as I intend to build a 3D model - I did once but in a different 3d prog to that I use now.

Yeah, I think the Daleks were brilliantly scary. I used to have a magazine with blueprints and instructions to build a life sized Dalek. I'd love to build one one day.
I remember one of the early black and white series of Doctor who which was set on an underground moon base. Cyber men were on the loose and it was so scary! They used to have a chest mounted box like weapon. When they opened it, lightning would shoot out and hit the victim who would then writhe around on the floor screaming in agony for a bit before popping their clogs. I used to have nightmares about it. The original cyber men were on parr with the Daleks in terms of scariness. Also their eyes were like the eyes of a great white shark. Just black holes. Very cold!
